Creative Weblogging Launches Fastsupplier.com

Torsten Jacobi points out that Creative Weblogging has launched Fastsupplier.com, a "Yellow Pages" for reaching suppliers around the world. I’ve pointed out before that orchestrating supply chains may be a core competency that business people need to master. Well, perhaps this is a starting point for letting your "fingers do the walking" (so to speak).

Disclosure: I am compensated by Creative Weblogging for authoring at The CIO Weblog.

  1. I think there’s a website that has been listing suppliers for years. I used the system to search for chinese power supply manufacturers when I was working at a certain company. It wasn’t very user friendly though and there were pop-ups out the wazoo!

  2. It will be interesting for me to learn more about this as a lot of directory services that most people are familiar with (e.g., directories of internet sites on Yahoo) have seen decreased usage due to search engines. To be honest, when Torsten informed me of Fastsupplier.com, I thought it was a separate venture, but I now understand that he would like to meld all things together into an online publishing company.
